Tiered Garden

The clients for this garden wanted to turn a sloped garden into one that was easier to access, with lots of seating areas to sit in at different times of the day to make the most of the sun. We had to dig a large part of the garden away to create the sunken seating area with retaining oak sleeper walls. The incorporation of curves and circles not only adds interest but also enhances the perception of space.  To highlight the unique shape of the deck area we made the most of the angles rather than laying the deck all one way which complemented the overall design beautifully.
