Contemporary Pond

The client for this project wanted a contemporary pond to add interest to the garden and tie in with the style of the modern house. The garden was in a beautiful setting overlooking Porlock in Somerset. The pond added a tranquillity to the garden and had a fountain placed in it to create the gentle sound of water. I created a ledge around the edge of the pond with water loving plants placed on it in the shallow water. I also installed a natural slate patio slabs to give a clean contemporary finish with a plant bed including grasses and colourful plants to soften the edge of the patio area.
